Reading, reading, everywhere!
World Book Day!
These are children in Year 1 (1JM) enjoying reading on World Book Day.
We took four children to read to Adam Crozier CEO at the ITV studios in March. This was part of the Reading Recovery Read on Get On campaign. There is also a quote from Adam that could go with them.
“It was a real pleasure and great fun to welcome Alfie, Sajid, Wiam and Stacey from Ripple Primary School, and hear each of them read so brilliantly. The ‘Read Aloud’ campaign is a fantastic way of celebrating the achievements of these children, and the work of Reading Recovery.”
Easter Bonnet Parade
23rd March 2016.
Children from Reception, Year One and Year Two participated in an Easter Bonnet Parade around the school site.
The children made their bonnets at home and the residents of Barking came out to see their creations. Parents were invited to a coffee morning with hot cross buns before the parade.
Children from Reception classes delighted us with a performance of “Born in a Barn”….. A tale about The Nativity Story.
Children from Year One told us about The Traditions of Christmas.
Children from Year Two performed a story called “Stable Manners” – a story about the animals who were in the stable when Jesus was born.
